The Plali skills ZIP holds two SKILL.md packages: plali-save keeps places, links, and notes from a conversation in your private My Places, and plali-search finds them again by region, tag, review criterion, or minimum score. The skills guide how your agent uses the Plali MCP server, which you still connect and approve at plali.app/ai.

Three moments the skills handle
A new conversation, weeks later
Ask “Which places in Seongsu did I score 4 or higher on atmosphere?” plali-search filters your saved places by region, review criterion, and minimum score, and tells you when nothing matches instead of searching elsewhere on its own.
A preference you mean to keep
“Remember that I avoid cilantro” becomes a saved preference. “Somewhere quiet tonight” applies to that request only, so a passing mood does not turn into a setting.

Connect the MCP server
Add https://api.plali.app/mcp to your agent using the guide at plali.app/ai, sign in, and approve the permissions you want to grant. There is no API key to paste.
Add the two skills
Download plali-skills.zip and add the plali-save and plali-search folders the way your agent expects skill packages. The ZIP also includes an upload-ready archive of each skill for Claude.
Ask in plain words
Say “Save this link to Plali” or “Find a quiet café among my saved places.” New saves stay private in My Places and wait in Places to organize until you complete their records.

What the skills do not do
The skills do not connect an account or approve permissions; that happens when you connect the MCP server. Saving never publishes a place, and there are no automatic recommendations, exports, or webhooks. Scores and notes stay private unless you change visibility in Plali.
Questions about the Plali agent skills
Do the skills replace the MCP connection?
No. The skills tell your agent when and how to call Plali’s tools, and the tools come from the MCP server at https://api.plali.app/mcp. Connect that server at plali.app/ai first, signing in with OAuth instead of pasting an API key.
How do I install the skills from the ZIP?
Add the plali-save and plali-search folders the way your agent expects skill packages, keeping each SKILL.md next to its agents/openai.yaml. The ZIP also includes an upload-ready archive of each skill for Claude and a README that covers Claude, Claude Code, and Codex. A Team or Enterprise administrator may have turned off skill uploads.
Who can see what my agent saves?
Places saved through the skills are private in My Places by default, and so are scores and notes. You can set each place or list to private, followers, link, or public in Plali. If you revoke the agent’s access, the places you saved stay in Plali.
Does the agent recommend places on its own?
No. plali-search looks through the places you saved and ranks them against your request and the preferences you asked it to remember. It looks up new venues only when you ask, and that lookup covers venues in Korea only, up to 30 a day.
